AJSavannahs F2B JoJo and Henri, two of our Gentle Giant brothers

AJSavannahs F2B JoJo (Vester) and Henri (Henry) from our F1 Ayo and F6A Wari. Henri is huge but JoJo is the Alpha Male even though he's a bit smaller than his younger brother. I got to visit with the boys in July, 2013 when I delivered our F2B brothers Sambu and Toki to their new family. JoJo played fetch til he wore out and Henri showed off his jumping skills.

Both boys invented a new game for me, they leaped off their cat tree and onto the guest airbed. Over-and-over. And I'm not sure what we all enjoyed more, watching them bounce off the side of the bed or listening to the noise they made as they hit the bed. Wonderful time with the boys and with their humans Becky and Jerry.

Please visit our AJSavannahs Cattery Facebook page for over 5,000 photos of our quality early generation Savannah cats as well as personality descriptions for our available kittens and young adults.

AJSavannahs F2B Kbutu and F3C Savannah Kittens

Have not posted any updated photos for AJSavannahs F2B Kbutu for several months. Kbutu is staying with us and we hope she'll bless us with F3C kittens some time this year.

AJSavannahs Little Hunters Miss Gabriel

We named our AJSavannahs F2B kittens Faith, Hope and Charity the "Little Hunters" when Gabriel was old enough to wean and big enough to hold his own with the girls. Since he was an only child, and we supplemented Gabatta's milk with a bottle, Gabriel thought he was a human and not a Savannah cat. Which meant that he was developing quite an attitude, and why not, he IS Gabatta's! The girls took care of his attitude right away. They were like the depictions you see of early man hunting Wooly Mammoths. Small creatures surrounding a huge beast and somehow prevailing.

Thus, our names: Little Hunters sisters Faith, Hope and Charity, and Wooly Mammoth Gabriel (from our AJSavannahs F1 Gabatta and F6A Mbau).

Now that Gabriel is home, I made my third 14-hour PLUS trip to Oregon to deliver him to his cousins our F3B Ellie and F2B Jericho, DSH Tater (and humans Teresa and Jimmy, of course), but now that Gabriel is home, the (not so) Little Hunters have turned their attention to me. With help from their cousins George and Charlie of course.

I noticed the new behaviors last week, but they don't do it to Jason, so I thought it was just a quirk. Not.

This is how it goes, cleaning litterboxes for Faith, Hope, Charity, George and Charlie:

I start scooping. Charlie jumps in the box, then he dives into the bag. In the meantime, Faith leaps into the box, too, trying to distract me. George rushes in and grabs the bag, usually at the top edge. I shoo George away. Drag Charlie out of the bag and try and hold him, and the bag, in my right hand as I continue to scoop around Faith with my left.

Then Charity launches from the cat tree in the middle of the room, to the fireplace, then to my back, then onto the stereo, then on around the room. Hope joins her in the chase.

Faith jumps out of the box.

Charlie twists out of my right hand and dives back into the bag, tearing the bottom as he goes in. George sees an opportunity and grabs the top edge again, dragging the bag, and Charlie out of my reach.

Charity makes her second circuit of the room and hits my back right on cue. I give up, stand up, open the closet door and they all dash in to play with the toys I have stashed. I close the door, get a new bag, clean up the mess, and start over again.

Jason asks me why I don't just close them in the closet to start with...

Mainly because we ALL have so much fun with the new routine. As anyone who lives with a Savannah cat knows (especially an AJSavannahs early generation Savannah cat), there's just no way you can get angry with them. They're spectacularly beautiful, hugely intelligent and inquisitive, inveterate clowns, and totally bonded to their humans.

If they choose to include me in their games, then I feel honored to be considered a part of their Herd!

AJSavannahs F2B Kittens from Ayo, Gabatta and Kboo!

We are having a blast with F2B kittens from our F1 Savannah Ayo, her sister Gabatta, and from our F1 Kboo. AJSavannahs Gabriel was supposed to go home last week, but I was ill (what's new???) and now we'll be traveling after Christmas. His much younger cousins are playing Little Hunters to his Wooly Mammoth. He's very gentle and patient and lets them think they can take him down at will. Hard to keep from laughing, but we try.

AJSavannahs F2B Trouble from Kboo and Mbau

This is AJSavannahs F2B Trouble, age four years, from Kboo and Mbau. He's almost Harvey-size and as gentle. Based on birth weight and growth weight, we're pretty certain Kboo's newest kitten, AJSavannahs George, will be almost as large as Trouble. More photos of George and Charlie on our AJSavannahs Cattery Facebook page and website.

New Harvey Photos, Showing Off His Huge Paws -- and Gertie, Marie and Walter Update

Thanks to All, for your patience. I will contact everyone who has submitted a questionnaire, email, or left a voicemail. I'm working through all my communications now. If you haven't heard from me, please call or email again. The fact that I haven't gotten to you yet does NOT mean we don't find your home to qualify. Just that I'm that far behind from being ill. Thankfully, both Jason and I work from home, so no one is ever neglected... although Jason might disagree with that statement!

Our AJSavannahs F2B kittens Gertie and Marie go in for their spay surgery Thursday. Gabatta's Walter will go in for his neuter the same day. Everyone should be ready to go home by June 17th.

AJSavannahs Kevin, Now Taz (Tazara) is HOME

Flew with Kevin, now Taz Thursday and delivered him to his new family. He got lots of attention going through security, had to carry him through in my arms while his Sherpa bag went through the scanner. He was a sweetheart, just sat in my arms and soaked up all the "Ooohs and Aaahs" over his beauty. Of all Kboo's kittens, he looks most like his mother. Which is why I named him Kevin, to duplicate the "Kuh" sound of Kboo.

He slept on both flights, under the seat ahead of me and wrapped snugly in one of my Pashminas to keep him warm. I admit to shaking his bag to wake him once, he was sleeping so soundly -- and the lady in the seat next to me was concerned that he was okay. He was, of course, all our AJSavannahs kittens have been fantastic travelers. Except for Cary who is the reason I travel with a back-up Sherpa bag in my carry-on.

Cary tried to chew his way out, but would quit when I would lean down and talk to him. Had a very sore back and neck, but Cary stayed in the bag, thank goodness! So now my entire carry-on is filled with back-up pet bag, kitten food, collapsible litter pan and kitty litter in case we get stranded. Security always does a hand-check because the litter shows up on the x-ray and they can't identify it.

For an adventure in traveling, and to learn more about our biggest F2, AJSavannahs Harvey, please visit our AJSavannahs kittens page, scroll down to see Harvey, then link through to his Las Vegas adventure. NOT something I want to repeat!

AJSavannahs Saint Valentine's Day Massacre (of my foot!)

AJSavannahs F2B Michael on top, playing King of the Hill. Bella left and Kevin right worked together to pull him down right after I took this photo.

And ALL of Kboo's kittens and their cousin Oscar had a blast today between trying to take the bandage off my toe, hit my bruised foot (torn ligaments again), steal my Moto Droid, play hockey with the camera, leap off my shoulder to the cedar chest, pierce my ears, help sweep, supervise changing litterboxes, block me from escaping. You get the idea! They were wound up and focused on the weakest in the herd and boy is that me. Just published 35 new photos on our AJSavannahs Facebook page.

We cut claws after these photos, foolish on our part, should have done it first, and I was trying to stand on one foot like a flamingo while holding a kitten for Jason to cut claws. It was funny, as always, to see them try and climb my jeans after having nails trimmed. Such sad confused looks when they don't have any traction to shimmy up. We're in the process of teaching them not to climb, but it's always harder when you have five siblings. Collective short attention span is hard to overcome! Until they wear out, like Bella, below.

They slept hard for about four hours this afternoon. Tried to sneak back up for more photos, but they can hear me coming up the stairs with my foot hurt. So I gave up and was grateful for these shots.

Have an 11-minute video that I need to process next. Will try and edit, but WHO do I cut out??? Will try and upload tonight on our AJSavannahs YouTube channel.

You can also keep up with the antics of all our AJSavannahs kittens by following us on Twitter.

More Oscar and Henry Glamour Poses

These photos were taken after they wore out chasing each other around the room and over and around Jason. Oscar can still go under the Little Tikes toy, but Henry gets stuck on at least half of his attempts.

They both purr constantly and get sidetracked very easily but they LOVE their Whirly Gig toy and have created a new game. It's called Knock it Under the Door at Nap Time and They'll Come Play With Us. And it works. We put them in their room for a nap and if we don't take the Whirly Gig, they'll never go to sleep. They have us well-trained!

Henry top photo, Oscar second. Then Oscar left, Henry right in bottom two photos. Additional photos on our AJSavannahs Kittens page and our AJSavannahs YouTube channel.
