Remodeling Our Large Nursery

We've finished the large nursery remodel, took us 11 weeks and tons of work. Dale got to enjoy exploring for a little while before he was neutered today. Read all about Dale's adventure on our Daily Blog. We might rename him Warren Beatty since he is SO vain. He found the mirror within the first three minutes. He's vain, but he's Dale... he's beautiful and knows it!

And now we've started remodeling our smaller nursery, also known as our Library. It's a room much loved by our Savannahs for those wonderful old book smells! Savannahs are extremely sensitive to scents, of any type. Our books are safely behind glass and I prefer eBooks on my PDA because I can lay on the floor with kittens and happily read without losing pages (and chapters!) to little teeth.

F1 Gabatta

AJSavannahs F1 Gabatta, from August, 2007. She dragged the stacking cubes around so often, that they only lasted a few months. Notice her shoulder height in comparison to our coffee table. Her F2B kitten Oliver will be larger when he's full-grown at three years of age. Her sister Kboo's F2B boy Trouble is already larger than any of our F1s, which is true of the majority of our F2B male kittens.

Can't forget Konga or Cary Cat! And a few F2B girls will be as large as our F1s... Holly (now Moja) is a giant, as is her sister Ivy, as well as Kboo's F2B kitten Isabella (Izzy, movies below). Konga, Oliver, and Holly and Ivy are Gabatta's kittens.

But as always: we are MOST proud of our kittens' temperament. They are all hugely loving and extremely bonded to their humans. A trait that comes directly from their intensely affectionate parents.

Tessa -- and Friends Lucy and Brie

Tessa is just gorgeous. And loving. And intelligent. And inquisitive. Did I mention affectionate? She LOVES to play and would be perfect in a multi-pet home. She's a clown and a bit clumsy and wants nothing more than to be cuddled... and a good game of keepaway, of course!

F2B Isabella (Izzy)

Shown here at only eight weeks of age, Isabella is sister to Genevieve, Jack, and Tessa shown below. Isabella is a perfect clone of her mother Kboo in everything except coloration. And she is huge, larger than her brother Jack (Shombay). Savannah cats grow until three years of age, so Izzy should be a very big girl, perhaps rivaling Trouble (from Kboo and Mbau's first litter) in size.

If you can hear above the wind in Izzy's movie, you'll hear her chirp at her toy. A distinctly Savannah trait.

Please visit our Kittens albums for photos of Izzy's sister Tessa, available to an approved pet home. And watch several of Tessa's movies and photo montages, posted below.

F2B Genevieve (Fina)

Shown March 9, 2008 at only eight weeks of age, Genevieve is sister to Tessa, Isabella, and Jack, from F1 Kboo and F6 Mbau. Genevieve (now Fina) shares her home with F3C Nissa (now known as Isis) and both kittens are maturing into spectacular adults.

F2B Jack (Shombay)

F2B Savannah kitten Jack (now Shombay), shown here March 9, 2008, at only eight weeks of age, is from F1 Kboo and F6 Mbau. Jack was the only boy in a litter of four and he always knew he was special. I spoiled him a bit more than his sisters, but thankfully, he's a very good boy. And he's HUGE, spoke to his family a few days ago and Jack weighs 15 pounds already and he's only eight months of age.

More photos on Jack's personal Testimonials page. And Jack and Audrey (now Shombay and Aja) will have their own blog soon!

Tessa Photo Montage

F2B Tessa is an absolute scale replica of My Sweet Kboo. Tessa loves to take my hand in her mouth and drag me over to her toys to play keepaway or fetch. She kisses my face throughout the night and sleeps under the covers and she can demolish a bed in about two minutes. She tunnels under the comforter, rolls on her back and grabs the sheets in between her long toes, then rolls and flips til she has everything pulled to the center. Savannahs create their own games, even when they have a ton of toys. We don't mind Tessa remaking the bed every day because it's so much fun to watch her play.

Tessa is spayed, microchipped, current on all vaccines... and ready for her very own family. We require a pre-screening questionnaire, two personal references, and one vet reference before any placement decisions will be made.
